We all perform some sort of daily “closing” ritual when preparing to leave work at the end of a day. While this closing ritual is different for each of us – from sending that last email, checking tomorrow’s appointments to ordering take-out for dinner - the closing ritual usually ends with the same final task, shutting down your computer for the night.

What you might not know is that every day, Help-Now performs many proactive tasks after hours, thus eliminating the need to interrupt your work-flow during the day, yet still guarding your network  and updating your software every 24 hours. The tasks include: critical Microsoft patches, deleting temporary files, performing disk defragmentation, daily Anti-virus definition updates, running spy-ware and virus scans. Not performing theses tasks could lead to a loss of business productivity as your computer will not be running as efficiently as it could, in addition to the possibility of being vulnerable to known Microsoft security issues.

Changing your closing ritual and leaving your computer on, but logging off will maximize your systems efficiency. Instead of clicking Shut Down, click Log Off instead. This closes Windows, while keeping the computer on so our proactive Guardian tasks run securely and protect you daily.
